Sharni Vinson is an Australian-American performer, actress and dancer born on 22 July 1983 in Sydney Australia. In 2001, she was selected to appear in two episodes of the Australian Soap Opera Home and Away. The casting agent was keen to have her play one of the leading roles. She auditioned, but she did not receive the job. On the exact same episode, Cassie Turner got the role to play an unruly teenage girl who was placed in foster-care.
