Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal advocate and a writer, who has won numerous awards. The actress has won praise for her roles in films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). Her desire to be an artist was inspired by her family background as a member of a New York family of artists. In the beginning, she worked as a photographer's assistant. In the future she shifted her focus to modeling and directing. Her two first films were noticed, and she was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award of Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw became a household name after the 1970 hit film Love Story. She was nominated for the Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. After just three short films MacGraw was named the most successful female in box office history. In Grauman's Chinese Theater, in 1972, she had her name and footprints hand-engraved. She has starred in several other movies, including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among many others. Her autobiography, published in 1991 Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw's been married three different times.
