Zoe-perry

Perry was born to actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Her first roles on television included two episodes on the show as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in her role on the ABC sitcom Roseanne as the character played by her mom. Her parents, however, did not let her perform until she turned an adult due to the negative effects that stress could have on their daughter. Perry she was shy to be a part of the theater in her high school, started to act in the theater at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new acquaintances. Perry made her debut as an actress in New York after graduation, getting small roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homesickness led to Perry go back to California and find work as an actress in the theater. She appeared on Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in the year 2013. Perry was in the show with her father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 at The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry played a lead role in nine episodes of ABC's drama The Family. In 2017, she had a minor role on ABC's thriller about politics Scandal which starred her father. She also played in the role of a older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - an CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. She was cast in the role in spite of her strong familial connection to the character.
